We display artifacts that span the history of native America from the first ancient migrations of 10,000 years ago to the historic period of the 18th century, and we are dedicated to displaying them in such a way that every visitor can learn about our shared cultural heritage. Our museum is proud to display artifacts so rare and unusual, they are unlikely to be seen anywhere else in the world, yet because of our dedication to the public, admission is free of charge.

We were honored to be gifted with the Arkansas Heritage Award. It has been wonderful for bringing attention to us, especially through the many articles written about the award. That attention has certainly increased museum attendance.

Northwest Arkansas may not see the volume of tourism experienced in much larger cities, and though we do see our fair share, from a museum’s perspective we would always welcome more! However, we are forever grateful for the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau of Bentonville for the fantastic job they do, bringing visitors to the area and to our museum.

Stephanie Brown
Museum Director's Assistant
Museum of Native American History
Stephanie Brown 2010-06-22T10:59:33-07:00 Henry Award/ Museum story RE: Make a Referral Week http://nwab2b.com/pc_url_10912652
Hungry?
